Paul Arthur Meissner, 91, formerly of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.
Born May 27, 1928 in Menominee, to the late Arthur and Theresa (Neumeier) Meissner, he graduated from Menominee High School. On Sept. 11, 1948, he married the former Evelyn Falk and she preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 2015.
He was the owner/operator of Meissner Television and Stereo/Radio business in Marinette for many years. A member of Holy Redeemer Parish in Birch Creek, he also served as an usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Together they enjoyed living on the water and with his passion of boating, he owned three boats in his lifetime and built one of them.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Rick) Lund of Holt, Mi.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue (Jim) Hanson; two brothers, Tom Meissner and Jim (Peggy) Meissner and other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; a son, Jeff Meissner and a brother, Richard.
Visitation took place at Holy Redeemer Parish in Birch Creek on Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Jubish Joseph presiding.
Burial was in Menominee Township Cemetery. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in his name and expressions of sympathy and kindness can be sent to Heartland Home Health and Hospice, 1145 W. Main Avenue Ste 205, De Pere, Wis. 54115.
