Doris Jane (Baribeau) Leyo, 95, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center in Stephenson, Mi.
Born Oct. 12, 1924 in Marinette, to the late George and Elizabeth (Menard) Baribeau, she graduated from Menominee High School in 1942. On Nov. 17, 1945, she married Andrew J. Leyo in Menominee and he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1981.
An active member of Resurrection Catholic Church, she liked volunteering and was past president of St. Anne's Altar Society. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and watching birds, but most importantly, time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Leyo of Menominee; two sons, Alan (Sue) of Murfreesboro, Tn. and Howard of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Leyo of Menominee; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger; two sisters and two brothers.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Kell Funeral Home in Menominee on Friday, Feb. 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Resurrection Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Fr. Brian Gerber will preside with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
