Wrong Way Crash At Lena Takes Two Lives

A wrong-way crash at about 5:35 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 on Hwy. 141 near County A in Lena claimed the lives of two people, according to the Oconto County Sheriff's Office.
Victims were identified as Sande Walker, 59, of Oconto Falls, and Marvin Lueneburg, 73, of De Pere.
The crash remains under investigation by the Oconto County Sheriff's Office and Brown County Medical Examiner's Office.
The Sheriff's Department reported that no one was injured in a second two-vehicle crash that happened as a result of the Walker/Luenburg collision.
Investigators say Walker was driving an SUV that was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway near the on-ramp to County Highway A. The SUV collided with a southbound truck driven by Lueneburg.
Walker and Lueneburg were pronounced dead at the scene.
Lueneburg's passenger, a 70-year-old De Pere woman, was taken to a local hospital.
The crashes crash caused part of the highway at County A to be blocked off for about two hours Thursday evening. Southbound drivers were detoured on Old 141 Road while the scene was cleared.
Visitation for Walker will be on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 501 S. Main Street, Oconto Falls, and on Friday, Feb. 7, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Walker was born in Oconto Falls, Sept. 9, 1960, to the late Robert and Margaret (Glass) Wegner. Survivors include her husband, Bob Walker, and two sons, Jordan and Luke (Katie) Walker, plus numerous siblings and other relatives.
She was a healthcare provider who served more than 40 years with the Community Memorial Hospital, HSHS St. Claire Memorial Hospital and recently Prevea Lena Health Center.
