Patz Celebrated Over 170 Years of Employee Retirements

Patz Corporation of Pound on Dec. 19, 2019 celebrated four retirements at one time, with over 170 years of their combined service. They are Joe Kwiatkowski of Crivitz, with 42 years; Wes Jorgensen of Marinette, 43 years; Dan Rhodes of Amberg, 43 years; and Jim Maynard of Oconto, 42 years.
Joe Kwiatkowski, left, began with Patz in April of 1977 in the Shipping Department and successfully worked in various positions before transferring to Material Handler in Welding. His last day at Patz was Dec. 31, retiring over 42 years later. When asked about his retirement plans, he responded that he is really looking forward to doing a lot of fishing.
Wes Jorgensen, left center, started at Patz in June of 1976 in the Welding Department and worked in various positions in the company, including coordinator and lead type positions, before becoming Fixture Technician in Welding. His last day at Patz was Dec. 20, retiring over 43 years later. When asked about his retirement plans, he was contemplating on not having to be somewhere at any given time, working on small projects in his garage, riding his motorcycle, traveling around the country, and working on a "honey do" list.
Dan Rhodes, right center, started at Patz in August of 1976 in the Fabrication Department and worked in various positions in the company, including coordinator and lead type positions, before moving to the front office, as Technical Support Rep. His final day at Patz was Dec. 27, retiring after 43 years. When asked about his retirement plans, he was quick to respond that he is looking forward to spending more time with his grandson.
Jim Maynard, right, began employment with Patz in September of 1977 in the Paint Department and then worked in various lead type positions in the company before moving into the front office to become the Purchasing Manager. His last day at Patz was Dec. 31, retiring after 42 years. When asked about his retirement plans, he said he is looking forward to the plans that he and his wife, Cynde made to do some traveling, and lots of fishing, and will expand their garden, as well as spending more time with family.
Cake and beverages were served in honor of the retirees, and employees gathered to celebrate. The four retirees accepted their individual plaque of retirement recognition, and gifts from Darrell Patz, President of Patz Corporation. "We're very thankful to have had Joe, Wes, Dan, and Jim with us all these years. We will miss them, and sincerely wish each the very best in the future. It was a special day, to be able to celebrate this momentous occasion together," Patz added. Patz is now in its 72nd year of operation designing, manufacturing, marketing agricultural equipment, and providing contract manufacturing services in North America and internationally.
