Fredrick A. Steppke, Jr., 51, of Marinette passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020.
Born March 14, 1968 in Green Bay, to Fredrick and Nancy (Stepniak) Steppke, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1986 and served four years in the United States Army. He then studied High Powerline and Gas Distribution at NWTC in Green Bay, graduating in 1992. He worked for over 10 years at Roadking Excavating and was currently working for FMC in Green Bay as a carpenter.
A member of Calvary Church, he was active in bible study, men's group and many other activities. He also belonged to Triple C Riders, Hogs for Heroes, Crivitz Bowhunters and volunteered for the Rescue Squad, participating in many charity events and rides. He enjoyed barbequing for friends, hunting, fishing and had a passion for his Harley Davidson.
He is survived by his parents, Fredrick, Sr. and Nancy; a son, Jacob (Jenna) Steppke and his mother Tammy Servatius; sisters, Jeanie Steppke and Angela Acuna; nieces, Amanda (Matthew) Shaver and Morgan Posephny and a nephew, Daniel (Deanna) Herson.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Jean Stepniak and Arthur and Gladys Steppke and an aunt, Kathy Tharp.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m., with Pastor Tim Hawthorne officiating.
