Clare Jean (Gerl) Pawlowski, 94, of Armstrong Creek, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2020 at The Bay at Nu Roc Health and Rehab, Blackwell.
Born Feb. 9, 1926 in Newald, to Alfred and Frieda (Scharf) Gerl, she married Edward Pawlowski on June 22, 1957 at St. Leonard Catholic Church and he preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1998.
She enjoyed listening to WRVM Radio, dancing, cooking, gardening and visiting with family, friends and neighbors. Committed to her Church, she loved playing the organ at St. Stanislaus-Kostka Church. She enjoyed traveling and was a great wife and mother.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn Pawlowski (Steve Montgomery) Vallejo, Ca. and Mary Jane (Mark) Easter, Tappahannock, Va.; a son, John (Mary Joan) Pawlowski, Armstrong Creek; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gwen (Web) Schmelling; a son, Bruce Edward Pawlowski and a Godson, Dean Schmelling.
Visitation will be held at St. Stanislaus-Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Fr. Timothy Brandt officiating. Weber Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
