Joyce spent her career as an elementary school teacher in the Menominee, Michigan School District.
After retirement, Joyce and Dick spent their winters in Sun City, Arizona where they explored the desert and made great friends. Joyce continued to spend her winters there after Dick's passing in 2017.
Joyce loved to shop and laugh with her friends, and loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Her homes in both Peshtigo and Arizona were the places friends loved to drop in for a glass of wine and a chuckle.
Survivors include her two children, Darren Kramer and his wife Jill, Danae (Kramer) Ciske and her husband Nathan; Darren's two children, Abby and Sam and Danae's daughter, Mabel.
Joyce was proceeded in death by her parents, Henry and Nina Drees; her brother, Ronald Drees and her husband, Dick.
