David Stephen Harper, 73, formerly of Marinette, passed away Monday, Feb. 17.
Born in Menominee, MI., he lived in Wisconsin nearly his entire life and like many from the north woods, he loved nature and was an avid fisherman on the Peshtigo River. He served in Vietnam as part of the United States Navy and was a source of love and inspiration for many in his community.
He is survived by a sister, Diane (Harper) Bunk; a brother, Tom Harper and a daughter, Jan (Harper) Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Harper and Alice (Steffen) Harper; a brother, Richard Harper and a sister, Mary (Harper) Williams.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Feb. 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Parish Hall of First Trinity Lutheran Church, 920 Wells St., Marinette, located behind the Church on Grant St. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
