Florence Oleksy, 90, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center in Stephenson, Mi.
Born April 30, 1929 in Chicago, Ill., to John and Anna Oleksy, she taught grade school in Chicago in the 1950's.
She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, was interested in geology, loved the arts, drawing, painting and reading and writing poetry. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Andrea (Paul) Sorensen of Menominee, Mi. and Rosemary (Dennis) Robinson of Milwaukee and one son, Nicholas (Benjawan) Terlecky of San Francisco, Ca.
Among her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Johnson and Katherine Doubek.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Thursday March 12, 2020 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m., with Deacon Vince Beckley presiding. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
