William R. Luedtke, 87, of Peshtigo passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Rennes Health Care Center-East.
He was born on June 21, 1932, to the late Walter and Caroline (Spangenberg) Luedtke in Marinette. He attended Peshtigo High School, then enlisted to serve his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War, earning the highest expert sharp shooting award.
In June of 1969, William married Judith Chinn in Peshtigo. William was the Lead Foreman at Thompson Boat Company for many years and was head of maintenance for Capital Fixtures, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and gardening.
William is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy of Peshtigo; son, William (Lisa Blasing) Luedtke of Marinette; daughter, Leah (Patrick) Fritz of Peshtigo; four grandchildren, Michael, Cody and Abby Luedtke and Katherine (Christopher Ngewakl) Fritz and great-granddaughter, Ava Jade.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Earl and Curtis; three sisters, Verna Sieloff, Shirley Follett and Lila Wood and many of his beloved hunting dogs.
Per William's wishes, no services will be held. Thielen Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
