Christopher Robin "Dietz" Hofer, 61, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 3, 1959 in Menominee, to Fred and Lavina (Kehoe) Hofer Sr., he graduated from Menominee High School in 1977 and began working as an Insurance Agent with Juttner Insurance Agency and later Twin City Service Agency, where he worked for over 40 years. On June 26, 1999, he married the former Maggie Dion in Menominee.
An avid golfer, he belonged to North Shore Golf Club, was a huge Los Angeles sports fan and enjoyed annual trips to Door County and Mackinac Island. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Menominee.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie of Menominee; two children, Jennifer (Chuck) Stansberry of Fox Point and Andrew Lynwood of Marinette; one grandson with baby girl Stansberry due in May; six brothers, John, Fred (Sue) Jr., Tom, Sam (Debbie) and Tony (Lynn) all of Menominee and Jim of Algoma; two sisters-in-law, Char Thoune of Fondulac and Marsha (Mike) Pfankuch of Menominee; two brothers-in-law, Pete (Amy) Dion of Menominee and Will (Denise) Dion of Grand Blanc, Mi.; a Goddaughter, Jenny Hofer of Blacklick, Oh. and many nieces; nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and June Dion and a sister-in-law, Mary Hofer.
Due to the current pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced. Cadieu Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements.
