Sylvia I. (Ratliff) Kempka , 73, of Town of Brazeau, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
Sylvia was born to, Porter and Laura (Foss) Ratliff on May 12, 1947 in Argonne, WI. Sylvia loved spending time with family, especially cooking and baking for them. She loved working out in her yard and all enjoyed her beautiful flowers.
Sylvia will be greatly missed by her children, Penny (Don) Rogge, Tim (Mary Beth) Forner, Laurie (special friend, Terry) and Mike (Leah) Forner. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany (Richard), Daniel (Kendra), Austin (Ashley), Haley, Hope, Dylan (Malena), Blake, Karlee, Faith, Brooklyn and Payton. She also was blessed with two great-granddaughters, Marlee and Josie. Her first great-grandson, Axel, is expected to arrive next month. She is also survived by her siblings, Arlie, Linda, Everett, Dave and Al Ratliff, along with many nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Donna and Ella; brother, Roger and her loving husband, Jerry, just six months ago.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Safe Haven Community Church, Pound on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m., with Pastor Mark Kostreva officiating. Sylvia will be placed to rest at the Town of Brazeau Cemetery. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marietta is assisting the family.
Sylvia was cared for by many great people over the years. The family would like to thank Karen at HSHS St. Clare dialysis center for her wonderful care and friendship she gave Sylvia.
