Richard A. Phillips, 73, of Marinette passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at his home.
Born Feb. 26, 1947, to the late Delbert and Grace (Seymour) Phillips, he graduated from Laona High School, UW-Marinette and UW-Madison. He worked at Ansul/Tyco Co. of Marinette his entire working career, retiring in 2006.
He enjoyed performing with Theatre on the Bay, bicycling, working out at the YMCA and reading, but his passion was Morgan Show Horses. He traveled the United States attending horse shows and making many friends along the way. He was a faithful supportrer of the Wisconsin Badgers, Packers and Brewers, attending a few games and watching on TV.
He is survived by two sisters, Paulette Novak of Argonne and Delores Bartelme of Seymour; a brother, Tim Phillips of Laona; many nieces; nephews; aunts; cousins and friends he met in his years at Ansul/Tyco and in his travels.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Jerry Novak and William Bartelme.
Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made in his memory to the M & M YMCA in Menominee or the Cancer Care Center at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area, Marinette. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
