Gunsten Keith Versland, 77, of Wausaukee, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at home.
Born Jan. 12,1943, to the late Gunsten and Jewell (Logan) Versland in Carmell, Ca., he graduated from Crivitz High School in 1961 and then graduated from MATC in 1964.
In June of 1964 he was drafted into the United States Army and sent to Korea in June of 1965 for 13 months, serving with the 6th Battalion, 37th Artillery 2nd Infantry Division.
After service, he married Gloria Stych in August of 1967 and they had four beautiful children. He worked the majority of his life in different factories.
He loved coin collecting, photography, gardening, collecting toy tractors and always had to be moving and doing something.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Gloria Versland; three daughters, Dawn (Ted) Kerske of Stevens Point, Michelle, (Nels) Herness of Wausaukee and Vicki (Toshitaka) Konishi of Hyogo-ken, Japan; a son, Eric Versland of Wausaukee; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Steven (Michelle) of Donna, Tx. and Danny (Sharon) Versland of Wausaukee and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per his wishes, no service will be held at this time. Military Honors will be performed at a later date to be announced. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
