Roger Louis Gratto, 85, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, July 20 at home with family by his side.
Born Nov. 11, 1934 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Louis and Clara (Peterson) Gratto, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1954 and married the former Barbara Staudenmaier on Dec. 31, 1957 in Marinette. He served in the United States Army and worked at Ansul Tank Division as a welder, retiring after 25 years.
He enjoyed golfing at Little River Golf Club, hunting and bowling but his greatest joy was his family, especially the grandchildren. He was a devoted member of Resurrection Parish in Menominee and a member of the American Legion Post 146.
Survivors include his wife of over 62 years, Barbara; two daughters, Kathleen (Gerry) Hubbard and Karen (Floyd) Mayer; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jane (Richard) Gadda and other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Kervhan.
Visitation will be held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Friday, July 24 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish in Menominee at 11 a.m., with Fr. Brian Gerber presiding. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee with Military Honors.
