Rudolph Burie, 104, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, Mi.
Born Jan. 24, 1916 in Banat, Mi., to the late Frank and Katherine (Schafer) Burie, he served in the United States Army. He worked at Menominee Box Company for many years as the head sawyer.
He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Gilbert) Vandenhouten of Spalding, Mi.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and a great-great-great-grandchild.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Nelson; a daughter, Helen Grace; nine brothers and two sisters.
Visitation was held Monday, July 20 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Fr. Jubish Joseph presiding, followed by burial in Stephenson Township Cemetery. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home of Stephenson assisted the family with arrangements.
