
Douglas R. BablitchIssue Date: July 22, 2020 Douglas R. Bablitch, 79, of Pembine, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, at his home.
Born June 10, 1941 in Stevens Point, to the late John and Inez (Manning) Bablitch, he graduated from Slinger High School in 1960. He attended UW-Whitewater and after his first year, enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served from 1961 until an honorable discharge in 1964, when he returned to Wisconsin. He worked all of his life in retail and marketing for many corporations including, Target Corporation in St. Louis and Lewis Drug in South Dakota.
Founder of Pricemart Enterprises in Minneapolis where he served as the CEO and President and later continued in sales for many other retailers, he enjoyed his work. He married Polly L. Bethke on June 10, 2005, in Marinette and they lived in Pembine.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Polly; a son, Douglas C. (Jana) Bablitch, San Francisco, Ca.; a daughter, Michelle (Mark) McMichael, Hudson; two brothers, John Bablitch, Minneapolis, Mn. and Steven (Mary) Bablitch, Hales Corner and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maureen Bablitch.
