Clayton B. Cassidy, 84, of Goodman, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at home with family by his side.
Born Jan. 4, 1936 in Goodman, to the late William and Hulda (Anderson) Cassidy, he graduated from Goodman High School and moved to Chicago in 1956 where he drove truck for Neuendorf Transportation. He met and married Angela Cypher in Chicago in 1959 and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
In 1967, he moved to Green Bay where he drove semi for Schneider Transportation for 22 years, retiring in 1989 when they moved to their retirement home in Goodman.
He enjoyed life to the fullest, had many hobbies, from picking many blackberries, deer hunting, fishing and woodworking, but especially loved time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Angela; two children, Michelle (John) Kahl and Timothy (Arlene Kania) Cassidy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael (the late Judy) Cassidy; sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Nancy Cassidy; a brother-in-law, Donald Elmer and many nieces; nephews; family and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, William, Robert, Ronald, Loren, Lorenz, Lorraine and David; his mother and father-in-law, Clara and Clarence Cypher; a brother-in-law, Roman Brandner and a sister-in-law, Linda Cypher.
A public graveside service will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Goodman on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Henry Yoap officiating. A Celebration of Life will will not be held due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
