Wausaukee Enterprises Receives $6,000 Grant
Issue Date: July 29, 2020
Wausaukee Enterprises, Inc. received a $6,000 grant from the Impact Fund for Covid-19 Relief held at the M&M Area Community Foundation. The board of directors at the M&M Area Community Foundation established this fund in March to help area non-profits whose resources have been strained by the coronavirus. The Foundation seeded the impact fund with $25,000. Additional donations were made to the fund by community members throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties.
Wausaukee Enterprises will use the grant money to help offset lost revenue due to facility closure caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. This money received allows WEI to continue to maintain and offer programs such as vocational training, adult day service programs, transportation, and help with additional operating costs caused by the current pandemic. The inability to be fully operational and raise funds over the last several months made it difficult for all local non-profits. The M&M Area Community Foundation recognized a great need in the community and was willing to help in a big way.
