THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Crivitz Veterans Day Ceremony is Nov. 11th
Issue Date: October 28, 2020
Crivitz-As you all know, the COVID situation has changed, rearranged, and cancelled many events. One of the events which was cancelled was the annual Veteran's Day Ceremony sponsored by Crivitz American Legion Post #413. However, thanks to Crivitz Middle School principal Kelly Robinson, there will be a Veterans Day Ceremony.
The program will be held in front of Crivitz Elementary/Middle School by the flag pole at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11th. There will be a short speech, songs by the school choir, and a musical salute to the military services by the school band. The program will last approximately 30 minutes.
The program will be held in the safest way possible with the only students in attendance being those who are performing. Chairs for veterans will be placed near the flag pole and will be spaced 6 feet apart to observe social distancing. Others are welcome to attend and can either stay in their vehicles in front of the school or stand on the sidewalk on either side of the seating reserved for the Veterans.
Please note this event will be outside, so dress appropriately. There will be no access to the school nor any refreshments served. As of now, if there is rain, the event will be cancelled.
