Mary Eileen (Lusardi) Ferdon, 93, of Marinette, passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 at Aurora Medical Center, Bay Area.
Born Oct. 9, 1927 in Escanaba, Mi., to Emil and Ella (Kimball) Lusardi, she graduated from High School in Rock, Mi. in 1944. She married Erwin Koehne "Spike" Ferdon on June 29, 1946 in Little Suamico and they later relocated to Marinette where they raised their family. She was retired from the School District of Marinette where she worked in food service.
She was a longtime member of St. James Lutheran Church and family gatherings were her best time of the week. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, reading and card clubs.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger (Tom) Shallow and Jennifer (Russ) Seguin; four sons, Mike (Debbie), Pat (Rachel), Jeff (Cindy) and Randy (Barb); a daughter-in-law, Debbie (the late Harold) Ferdon; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley (Dick) LaPerriere and Patricia (Wayne) Rolf; a sister-in-law, Leah (the late Harold) Lusardi and many nieces and nephews.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Erwin "Spike" a son, Harold; two sisters, Joyce Sobbry and Thelma Lowery and two brothers, Harold and baby Emil.
Per her wishes and due to public health concerns over COVID-19, a private family graveside service will be held at Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
