Coleman Family In Need This Christmas
Issue Date: November 5, 2020
The Country Music Santa program has been made aware of a family in the Coleman area that is in need this Christmas season. The program founded by country musician Jake Gill assists families who meet certain criteria create an Amazon wish list that can be distributed amongst the local community where a nominee resides. The list contains essential items, like food, clothing, and toys for the children. Businesses, their employees, and residents can then select the items they wish to purchase for the family and the items will ship anonymously to the family in need.
"We have found this program to be a safe, convenient and effective way of connecting those less fortunate with those in plenty," said Jake Gill. "In most instances, a community may not even know that there is a need. People are afraid or ashamed to ask for help. Amazon has made it easy to help a neighbor from the safety of their own living room and especially in this time of Covid-19. We perform often in the Peshtigo area and I know that there are generous people with a "giving heart' who will assist this family when they find out there is a need."
