Adam John Slaby, 25, of Crivitz, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020.
Born Sept. 13, 1995, to Anne and Hank Slaby, he spent his entire life in Crivitz. In Elementary School he participated in Cub Scouts and served as an altar boy at St. Mary Catholic Church in Crivitz for eight years. He graduated from Crivitz High School in 2014.
Active in football and track and field, in 2014 he earned a medal at the state tournament for pole vaulting. After high school he earned a Welding Certificate and then attended UW-Marinette, UWGB and NWTC, graduating with a degree in Environmental Engineering.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, loved the peace and serenity of the woods and through school he worked with his father in the landscape business. His smile, laughter and warm and gentle soul will remain in the hearts of family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Hank and Anne Slaby; three brothers, Daniel (Katelyn) Slaby, Tyler Slaby and Henry (Lindsey) Slaby; a sister, Nicole (Zach) Stern; nieces, Kristen and Abigail; nephews, Landen, Liam, Colin, Braden and Jonah; his grandmother, Veronica Gesell and many aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Violet and Henry Slaby; his grandfather, Robert Gesell and three aunts, Mary, Susan Gesell and Diane Bacher.
The family greeted relatives at St. Mary Catholic Church in Crivitz on Monday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. until time of the service at 11 a.m. Fr. David Schmidt officiated, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
