Lois Erdman Lauerman, daughter of Henry and Eleanor (Boehm) Erdman of Menominee, Michigan, died November 1, 2020.
Born in 1934, she attended Washington grade school and Menominee High School. She was in the band and was a cheerleader for her four years of high school.
Liked by all, she was active in many school activities. After graduation in 1953, she attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Chicago and graduated as a Registered Nurse. Returning home, she worked at local hospitals and nursing homes. She was especially liked by patients as well as many doctors. She was always in demand.
Always eager to learn, she took classes in art, sketching, watercolor and oil. Additionally, she took classes in making jewelry and also ceramics. She had a love for music of many types and had her list of favorites. She was an active member in the area Lois Club and enjoyed the area meetings and attending the Annual Conventions across the US with her daughter, Lois Ann. She was also a proud member of PEO, Chapter BK. She was also a member of the Menominee Woman's club, GFWC.
In their freshman year of high school, she met Frank Lauerman. Instantly knowing she was so special, they dated for nine years and married in 1958. Frank and Lois shared sixty-two wonderful years together.
Her husband Frank survives along with their four children and families; Lois Ann Pavicevic (Vladimir) and their children, Aleksandar and Marco; Frank Lauerman 4th (Angela) and their children, Frank 5th and Edward; Christopher Joseph; and Timothy (Susan) and their children, Monica Ann and Matthew. She is also survived by her brother, Michael David and wife Barbara. Lois is further survived by her especially close friend, Finn Darcy Seaborg.
