
Barbara Jean HoffmanIssue Date: November 11, 2020 Barbara Jean Hoffman, age 73, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family, Saturday, November 7, 2020.
Barbara was born August 18, 1947 to the late Alfred L. Sr. and Hilda E. (Zorn) Schroeder. She married Wayne Hoffman the love of her life on April 25, 1964 who affectionately took care of her after her stroke 5 ½ years ago. For over 30 years she enjoyed working along side her husband on their dairy farm.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Peshtigo. She was known to some as "Lady Jane". She loved gardening, flowers, baking, and cooking. One of her favorite past times was babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved visiting, the many laughs with family and friends, and enjoyed an occasional glass of wine.
She is survived by her husband Wayne, two sons, Kerwin (Lisa) Hoffman and Kent (Heidi) Hoffman; three daughters, Kathy (Mark) Boerschinger, Kristy (Michael) Chaney, and Katie (Kevin) Carlson; two brothers, Douglas (Karen) Schroeder and Edwin (Shelley) Schroeder; one sister, Connie (Jim) Seefeldt; Thirteen grandchildren: Eric (Marissa) Boerschinger, Cheryl (David) Clarke, Rachel (James) Schaetz, Kevin (special friend Leah) Hoffman, Kurt Hoffman, Kassidee Hoffman, Ryan Hoffman, Randy (fiance Miranda) Hoffman, Ty Hoffman, Amy Hoffman, Steven Chaney, Chase Chaney, and Kimberly (fiance Hunter) Carlson; Nine great-grandchildren: Fernando, Zachary, and Carter Boerschinger, Kahne, Makayla, and Kara Clarke, Emmett and Jordan Schaetz, Lucas Hoffman.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Schroeder, Jr. and an infant sister, Kathy.
A special thank you to Maggie for her great care she provided. We would also like to thank Unity Hospice especially Jenny and Sarah for the special care they provided and Pastor Luke Myslik for being there every day for spiritual support.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 12 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Peshtigo from 12:00 pm until time of memorial service at 1:00 pm. Pastor Luke Myslik officiating. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family.
