Julie A. (Jarvis) Andersen, 95, of the Luther Home in Marinette, passed away on March 21, 2020.
Born Dec. 25, 1924, she lived in Marinette and graduated from Marinette High School in 1942. She attended The Cradle in Evanston Ill. for Pediatric Nursing and worked as a licensed practical nurse at Marinette General Hospital for 19 years and then 27 years at the Luther Home in Marinette. She married Frank Duket in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1962. She then married Harris Andersen in 1964 and he preceded her in death in 1991.
A lifelong member of Holy Family Church for many years, she enjoyed swimming at the YMCA and the River Cities Community pool. She loved playing cards, putting together puzzles with friends from Northland Village and Luther Manor, but especially her annual visits to see her daughters in Kentucky and Florida
She is survived by three daughters; one son and three step-sons, Debbie (Dr. Ron) Elder of Russellville Ky., Kay Duket of Jacksonville Fla., Jill (Gary) Carmichael of Jacksonville Fla., Tim (Mary Kay) Duket of Madison, Richard (Marsha) Andersen of Huntington Beach Ca., Allyn (Joanne) Andersen of Green Bay and Ken Andersen of Menominee; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and a special nephew, Jerry Anderson of New Berlin.
A Memorial Mass was held at Holy Family Parish, Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m., with Fr. Celestine Byekwaso as celebrant. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette assisted the family.
