Craig M. Sorenson, 72 and Jacquie A. (Birch) Sorenson, 72, both of Aurora, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Sept. 12, 1948 in Iron Mountain, Mi., Craig was the son of the late Vernon and Shirley (Sinclair) Sorenson. He grew up in Kingsford, Mi. and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1966.
Jacquie was born Jan. 7, 1948 in West Allis, to the late Jack and Geraldine (Dressler) Birch. She grew up in southern Wisconsin and graduated from Oconomowoc High School.
They married on July 28, 1989 in Kingsford and lived in Aurora all of their married life. He owned and operated Sorny's Crane Service for over 20 years and retired in 2020. She worked in the office as a dispatcher for Gunville Trucking Company in Niagara and after many years she then worked at UP logon Computer Connection in Iron Mountain, where she worked as a bookkeeper for a few years before retiring.
Craig enjoyed hunting, going to camp, playing music in many local bands and was an officer with the UP Whitetails of Dickinson County. Jacquie loved her garden and going to camp with Craig. They will both be missed by their family and many friends.
Craig is survived by one son, Steve (Danielle) Sorenson, Iron Mountain and Jacquie is survived by one son, Jamie Jensen, Oconomowoc; Craig is survived by five grandchildren and Jacquie is survived by three grandchildren. Jacquie is further survived by one brother, Jim Birch, Ashippun and one sister, Betty Osborne, Oconomowoc.
In addition to their parents, Craig was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Haase.
