Thomas "Tom" George Hoks, 67, of New London, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 at UW Hospital in Madison, after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Born Oct. 9, 1953 in Menasha, to the late Donald and Velma (Habar) Hoks, he married Lynn Neveau on Sept. 1, 1973 in Menasha and worked at various jobs, eventually pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation he worked at Marinette Marine, retiring in 2018.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, reading and time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Always willing to help others, he volunteered for 15 years for Crivitz Rescue and Twin Bridge Rescue, taught CPR classes and established the Twin Bridge Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn; two children, Jody (Jeremy Sorenson) Hoks and Michael (Jenny) Hoks; three grandsons; a sister, Jan (David) Olson and his in-laws, Robert (Linda) Neveau, Mark (Diane) Neveau, Mary (Duane "P-nut") Johnson and Lori (Harry) Kuehn and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Marie Neveau and a sister, Linda.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cline and Hanson Funeral Home of New London is assisting the family.
