Jill L. HillIssue Date: December 2, 2020 Jill L (Brault) Hill, 80, of Mundelein, Ill., passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at The Solana in Deer Park, Ill.
Born Feb. 9, 1940, in Menominee, Mi., to Omer and Margaret (Brabender) Brault, her family lived in Peshtigo, where her father worked at Badger Paper Mill for over 30 years.
She attended Peshtigo High School, graduating in 1958 and then earned a degree in Dental Hygiene at Marquette University in Milwaukee. On Nov. 25, 1961, she married Ronald J Hill of Niagara and they moved to Evanston, Ill. They later settled in Mundelein, Ill., where they raised three sons and spent the remainder of their lives.
She was a Dental Hygienist in the state of Illinois for 55 years and took pleasure in maintaining the smiles of generations of families. With a hectic home life with three boys, she still found time for cooking, sewing, dancing, was a member of a tennis club and was an avid golfer.
She volunteered with Cub Scouts and St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling the world, and visited many countries throughout Europe, Asia and Central America.
After being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, she moved to an assisted living facility where she became an official greeter, helping new residents adjust to their surroundings.There she made new friends and took an interest in drawing and painting.
Survivors include her children, Andrew (Kelly) Hill of Rolling Meadows, Ill., Matthew (Linda) Hill of Clive, Ia. and Vincent (Dawn) Hill of Algonquin, Ill.; a granddaughter; her sister-in-law, Molly (Paul Worthington) Hill of Marana, Az., her brother-in-law, Bob Hipke of Peshtigo and nieces and nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ron and sister, Rita Hipke of Peshtigo.
A private graveside service will be held Saturday, Dec. 12 at Saint Michael The Archangel Cemetery in Palatine, Ill. with Deacon Bob Powers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter are appreciated. www.alz.org/illinois.com
