Nancy Mae (Bartelson) Scheiderer, 94, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020 after a brief stay at Brookdale Assisted Living Center in Maryville.
Born July 1, 1926 in Milwaukee, to Mildred and Perry Bartelson, she spent her early life growing up on a farm near Elkhorn, Wi., graduated from Elkhorn High School and then worked in factories. She married Willard Scheiderer on May 23, 1951 in Milwaukee.
After moving from Oak Creek, she lived for many years in Middle Inlet and then resided in Albany, Ga. where she functioned independently for about five years until moving to assisted living in Maryville. Her sister-in-law said "Nancy lived her life to the fullest. She battled colon cancer and won, smoked for many years and loved a good cocktail and our boys loved her."
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Walker; two sons, Willard (Ramona) and Walter (Debbie) Scheiderer; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; a son, John; a brother, Donald and three sisters, Barbara, Betty and Sally.
Her remains were blessed by Rev. Patricia Chatput of Meadow United Methodist Church, Greenback, Tn. and her ashes will be interred in Pine Hill Cemetery in Middle Inlet with her late husband at a later date.
