Leonard Klemens, 70, of Shawano, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020.
Born Oct. 8, 1950, to the late Walter and Paulina (Jaeger) Klemens in Shawano, he graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers in 1969. He served in the United States Army from Aug. 4, 1970 to July 30, 1973 and continued to serve in the Army Reserves until July 1979. On July 12, 1975, he married Donna Kasten and worked at Gillett Cement Products for 36 years operating heavy equipment.
He enjoyed outdoor activities of hunting, fishing, camping, yardwork and also time at the Shawano Speedway.
Survivors include three children, Heather (Todd) Skarban, Nicholas (Ali) Klemens and Corey Klemens; three grandchildren; seven siblings, Dee (Dick) Oelke, Richard (Chris) Klemens, Dorothy Hesler, Sue (Ritchie) Peterson, Helen McKenna, John (Sue) Klemens and Aggie Ollendorf; his children's mother, Donna Klemens and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
His parents preceded him in death.
Military Honors will be held on Monday, Dec. 28 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 3 p.m. until time of visitation at 5 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
