Born Aug. 22, 1953 in Norfolk, Va., Ron and Peggy raised him on the Menominee River in Marinette County. He married Eileen Kruhmin on March 1, 1980 because there was no football, basketball or good hunting/fishing around that time of year.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen of Stephenson, Mi.; a son, Jesse (Kelly) of Iron Mountain, Mi.; five grandchildren; two daughters, Natalie (Sam) Winkler of Wallace, Mi. and Leah Harrand of Franklin, Wi.; a sister, Debbie (Steve) Nikolas of North Prairie, Wi.; an aunt, Sheila (Larry) Poisson of Idaho; a very special uncle, Robert (Cubby) Couvillion of Peshtigo and a very special cousin/fishing buddy, Kevin King of Peshtigo and many other relatives; friends and neighbors.
A private visitation was held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson, Mi. A Celebration of Life is being planned for later in the year. In lieu of flowers or cards, a memorial fund will be established with funds benefitting the Menominee County Library.
