Michael William "Mike" Ruf, 58, of Crivitz, formerly of De Pere, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020.
Born May 30, 1962, the oldest of four children, to Roger and Karen (Vannes) Ruf, he graduated from De Pere High School in 1980, where he was an all-around athlete, competing in football, basketball and track. He attended UW-Lacrosse where he also played soccer.
On Aug. 7, 1987, he married Tammie Collette and they had three children, Ryan, Brandon and Sean. He worked for over 25 years as a journeyman electrician.
An avid outdoorsman, deer hunting was his passion. He lived to be out in the woods, which he referred to as his "church." He will be remembered as a fun loving, big-hearted man.
He is survived by three sons, Ryan (Ana), Brandon and Sean; four grandchildren; his father, Roger; siblings, Steve, Sherri (Rick) Geurts and Lynn Geurts; foster sister, Vikki (Charles) Nason, his ex-wife, Tammie; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen and other extended family members.
