Menominee Shooting Victim Recovering; Suspects Held

The victim is recovering and two suspects are in custody after a shooting in the City of Menominee shortly after midnight on Monday, Dec. 28.
According to a report issued on Monday by the City Of Menominee Police Department, at approximately 12:10 a.m., officers received a shots-fired complaint in regard to a house in the 1300 block of 30th Avenue.
After arriving at the address, officers determined that the resident was shot during an illegal narcotics deal. The victim was taken to Aurora Medical Center Bay Area where he was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Two suspects fled the scene, first on foot and then later in a vehicle. An investigation began immediately, and later that same morning they were apprehended in Oconto and taken into custody.
The Menominee Police Department was assisted by the Michigan State Police, Menominee County Sheriffs Office, Marinette City Police Department, the Oconto Police Department, Menominee Fire Department, and the Aurora Bay Area Medical Center EMS.
The police report gave no information on the identity of the victim or the suspects but states that more information will be forthcoming at a later date and time.
