THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Coleman Area Library Received $3,500 Grant
Issue Date: January 6, 2021
The Coleman Area Library Association received a $3,500 grant from the Community-Wide Endowment held at the M&M Area Community Foundation.
The Coleman Area Library Association will use this grant to support the needs of the Coleman-Pound Library. Established in 1984 as an independent, not-for-profit corporation the mission of the Association is to help meet the needs of the library through volunteerism as well as financial support. We help to maintain the presence of our local library by assisting with rent, utilities, and other needs such as shelving, cleaning, and supplementing the Summer Reading Program. The Association helps to promote the library in the community, staff programs, maintain an emergency fund, and lend a hand wherever help is needed.
The Association's Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the M&M Area Community Foundation for this opportunity. Grant funding is made available through the charitable contributions of local donors through endowments established and managed by the M&M Area Community Foundation. The Foundation works with families, individuals, attorneys and estate and financial planners to design gift plans that ensure donors receive the most benefit from their charitable contributions. By establishing an endowed fund with the Community Foundations donors are able to support local nonprofits or provide scholarships.
