On Sunday, Jan. 10, Equity hosted its first smear tournament of the season. Walking away with first place was Dan Sebero, second place was John Rhode and third place was Mike Osmanski. The bar room was full of laughs and cheer as card sharks displayed their skills. A special thanks to Jodi Krueger-Rhode for leading the group. A full menu was offered with many enjoying great meals throughout the day.
On Monday, Jan. 11, Equity welcomed the Kumalong Sno-Riders Club for their Christmas dinner. Enjoying a delicious Italian dinner of homemade lasagna and garlic bread prepared by Equity, riders reminisced of yesteryear with multiple photo albums and memories shared. A good time had by all!
New this year, Equity is a park and ride for snowmobilers giving easy access to trails. Membership for the Sno-riders costs $27 per year with meetings being held the first Tuesday of every month at the Clubhouse. With 85 miles of trails going through Coleman and Pound and connecting to trails in Crivitz, Peshtigo and Marinette, riders will note beautifully groomed trails going through both farmland and woodland. The Road to the Superbowl goes through Lambeau at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16. Join Equity for some great specials during the game as their very own #1 ranked Green Bay Packers take on the Los Angeles Rams. With multiple televisions and ample seating space, Equity is a perfect venue for a Packers party. Starting at 5 p.m. a championship Dartball game will take place between The Office and Furkees.
On Sunday, Jan. 17, Equity will again play host to a Smear tournament. Starting at 1 p.m., a full menu will be available for those customers and players that would like to enjoy a delicious meal. On Saturday, Jan. 23, join the North Country Kickers for a public dance starting at 4 p.m. Get ready to kick up your heels with upbeat music and a fun crowd. Cost is $5 at the door. For more information, call John at 715-923-4991.
Live music will be heard throughout Equity Bar again as it welcomes Shawn Kubiak who will be playing live acoustic in the bar room. He will be singing and strumming all kinds of genres of music including rock, country and some originals. Stop on down to sing along and have a good time with some live music from 7 p.m " 11 p.m.
