Nancy A. (Derpinghaus) Gustafson, Retired Municipal Judge, 82, of Marinette, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021 with family by her side at Aurora Medical Center, Bay Area.
Born March 10, 1939 in Green Bay, to Franklin and Irene Derpinghaus, she spent her early life in Green Bay where she married Paul D. Gustafson on May 26, 1956. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past year. While in Green Bay, they owned and operated ABC Laundry and Dry Cleaners. She then worked in management at the Eagle's Nest, Woodside Country Club and Sure Way Grocery Stores.
She also served as President of the Bellin Hospital Auxiliary, Vice-President of the Green Bay Symphony Board and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
After moving to Marinette in 1985, they owned and operated Paul's Music and The Psalms Christian Book Store for many years. She was also a member and Past President of the Citizen's Police Academy. She then was elected as Municipal Judge for the City of Marinette, serving until retiring in 2006.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; three children, Pamela Johnson of Marinette and Kevin (Debbie) Gustafson and Amy Gustafson (Terri Vande Hei), both of Green Bay; four grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Robert "Pat" Derpinghaus; a sister, Marylin Duesing and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Merle, Kenneth and Jean and a son-in-law, Glenn Johnson.
Friends called at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Entombment was in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum in Green Bay. Memorial donations are suggested for The Shriner's Hospital for Children or Samaritan's Purse.
