
Vargo Tool & Die To Begin Construction --Peshtigo Mayor Al Krizenesky announced that Vargo Tool & Die, Inc., will begin construction of its new plant in Peshtigo following the Tuesday, Feb. 7, meeting of the City Council.
He reported all the paper work involved has been completed with final approval to be done at the Council meeting to allow Greenstreet to sell the two lots to Vargo in exchange for the city cancelling covenants on two lots on Willow Road.

County Board Okays 0% Raise Recommendation At a monthly meeting that may have set a new record for brevity, Marinette County Board on Tuesday, Jan. 31 approved a Personnel Committee recommendation that there be no raises this year for “non-represented” county employees. Vote was 25 to three, with supervisors Ted Sauve, Al Sauld and Joe Policello opposed and supervisors Shirley Kaufman and Kathy Just absent and excused.

Desotell Resigns As Director of Public Works In a news release issued Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 31, Marinette County Administrator Ellen C. Sorensen announced that Mark Desotell resigned from his position as Director of the Department of Public Works effective Wednesday, Feb. 1. Desotell had served as Director of Public Works for the county since August of 2007.
