County Board Will Act On 911 Upgrade, Appointments Upgrade of the 911 system in the sheriff department, two appointments, funding of Highway Department deficits and honoring Crivitz High School state pole vault champion will be among items of business when the Marinette County Board meets Tuesday, June 25, starting at 9 a.m.
The Law Enforcement Committee is seeking approval of an agreement to upgrade the 911 phone system at a cost of $146,393.03 with CenturyLink and also to improve inmate telephone services on a five year contract with Inmate Calling Solutions LLC.

Town Peshtigo Okays Purchase Of Fire Truck The Town of Peshtigo Fire Department will soon be getting a new fire truck. At their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, June 18 the town board unanimously accepted the recommendation of Supervisor Pat Ravet, based on information collected by Fire Chief Mike Folgert, and approved purchase of a Red Power Diesel foam pumper truck from Fremont, Wisc. for $85,478.

Peshtigo School District Hike Health Insurance Contribution Every employee of the Peshtigo School District will see changes to the employee contribution toward health insurance costs in the next fiscal year, as well as major changes to the available deductibles. The changes were enacted at the Wednesday, June 12 meeting of the School Board.

Marinette County Pay Study Updated Marinette County Human Resources Director Jennifer Holtger delivered the most recent update on the ongoing Pay Study taking place in the county government to the Marinette County Personnel Committee at their Friday, June 14 meeting.
