June, Moon, Mosquitoes...

For the past few days, weather has been fantastic, and the moon has been incredible, two good reasons to sit outside on a lovely June night.

June Dairy Month is still with us, and a special annual treat is coming up Sunday, June 26 with the Marinette County Breakfast on the Farm. It's being held this year from 7:30 a.m. to noon on the Fendryk Brothers Farm at W9105 County P, which is two miles west of Hwy. 141 in Beaver.

Thank God For Dads!...

DAIRY BREAKFAST

Mark your calendar, tie a string to your finger or whatever. The Marinette County June Dairy Month Breakfast at the Farm is coming up on Sunday, June 26 and it's always far too good to ...

Tom Boerner of Marinette gave a presentation on Colorado mine plans not being protested on June 9th. The Eagle Herald complemented the concerns in a news story. Boerner spoke to the mining group in Lake Township including 12 members from the Menominee County Board. The Colorado Mine article said the EPA estimated the spill that sent in excess of 880,000 pounds of metals into the Anamas River included arsenic, cadmium, copper, lead, mercury and zinc. This resulted from a toxic waste tailing pond generated by the Gold King mine an...
