Marinette Golfers Win Menominee Meet; Bieberitz Is Medalist

Sparked by a medalist round of 80 from Denin Bieberitz, the Marinette Marines claimed the 7-team Menominee golf meet Monday. The win capped a successful week on the links as the Marines were runner-up at the 11-team Oconto Falls Invitational as well.

Track Regionals To Begin May 20

Regional track action in all three divisions will begin on Monday, May 20 with the sectionals on Thursday, May 23 and the state meet May 31-June 1. The first 4 finishers in each regional will advance to sectional competition. The top 3 sectional finishers in D-1 and the top 4 in D-2 and 3 will qualify for the WIAA state meet.

Four area schools will compete in the Division 2 regional at Freedom as Marinette, Oconto, Oconto Falls and Peshtigo join Bonduel, Clintonville, Freedom, Notre Dame and Seymour. Field events begin at 3pm with runn...

Peshtigo Captures M-O Conference Crowns

Brad Neumann Returns To Win Pair Of Gold Medals; Depth Proves To Be Vital

Sparked by the return of senior sprinter Brad Neumann from an early season hamstring injury, the Peshtigo Bulldogs boys completed the sweep of M-O Conference track honors with 164 points. The last time Peshtigo swept the conference crowns was in 2000 and this marks the first M-O sweep since Suring posted a double win in 2007.

Rounding out the team scoring was Suring 150.50, Gillett 111, Crivitz 96, Coleman 63, Niagara 51.50 and Lena-STAA 36.

Coleman Finishes Perfect�Again!

Tops Peshtigo And Wausaukee For M-O Title

Thanks to a pair of one run wins over Peshtigo and Wausaukee, the Coleman Cougars put the finishing touches on a third straight 10-0 baseball campaign and the accompanying conference title. The championship is the sixth under head coach Kent Casper and includes crowns in 2002, 2204, 2009, 2011-12-13.

Wausaukee Golfers Win 9-Hole M-O Tournament

With a trio of golfers posting scores in the 40’s, Wausaukee claimed the M-O Conference 9-hole tournament at Golden Sands in Gillett on Thursday, May 2. The Rangers carded a round of 188 followed by Peshtigo 198, STAA 199, Suring and Niagara 201, Crivitz 218, Lena 219, Coleman 231 and Gillett 236.

Brandon Wesolowski paced the Rangers with a 44, Wyatt Tilkens 45, Logan Gruszynski 48 and Blake Elias 51.

Mitchell Behnke fired a 44 for Peshtigo, Jordan VanBeek 48, Marcus Behnke 51 and Levi Sterzing 55.
