Bulldogs Bag Second 9-Hole League Outing Continuing their drive towards a league title, the Peshtigo Bulldogs notched their second 9-hole conference meet Thursday at Hunter’s Glen in Crivitz.
Winners of both 9-hole events, Peshtigo sits atop the conference standings with 18 points while STAA is second at 16. The third and final phase of conference action will be an 18-hole match on Tuesday, May 15.
Following Peshtigo’s winning score of 176 were STAA 178, Coleman 193, Suring 198, Gillett 202, Niagara 203, Wausaukee 212, Lena and Crivitz 220.
Mitchell Behnke topped Peshtigo with a 35, Marcus Behnke and Jordan VanBeek 44, Nick Miles 45.
Mike Schmidt fired a 39 for STAA, Lexi Wilson 40, Anthony Carlson 46 and Casey Boyle 47.
Third place Coleman was sparked by Steve Kilmer 40, Alex Tisler 46, Richard Geimer 47 and Dan Pillath 48.
Suring scores were Anthony Jazwiecki 44, Dillon Kempen 46, Dalton Kopatz 52 and Tyler Fisher 54; Gillett-Tyler Raatz 40, Zak Peterson 45, Kelsey Hischke 49 and Alex Wetzel 51; Niagara-Colin Anderson 38, TJ Liebergen 41 Zach Zychowski 44, and Tyler Schomer 46.
Wausaukee was lead by Brice Sturmer 45, Logan Gruszynski 46, Brandon Wesolowski 47 and Wyatt Tilkens 52; Lena-Sam Beschta 47, Blaik Fischer 58, Ben Keller 59 and Cole Huberty 62; Crivitz-Ike Banaszak 48, Matt Kachell 50, Sam Banaszak 51 and Cameron Fischer 54.
Top five individuals were Mitchell Behnke 35, Colin Anderson 38, Mike Schmidt 39, Lexi Wilson 40, Tyler Raatz 40 and Steve Kilmer 40.
Conference scoring leaders after two rounds are Mitchell Behnke 74, Raatz 77, Kilmer 82, Marcus Behnke 83 and Schmidt 84.
Gillett Wins M-O
Ryder Cup Event
The 9-team conference Ryder Cup at Parkway Golf Course was won by Gillett on Friday with a score of 148.
STAA was second at 161 followed by Coleman 165, Peshtigo 166, Niagara 167, Suring 171, Crivitz 179, Wausaukee 181 and Lena 205.
The format consisted of 6 holes of alternate shot, six best ball and six scramble.
Peshtigo Tips Gillett
At Triangular Meet
Totaling a 184, Peshtigo slipped past Gillett 186 and Suring 203 in a Monday golf match at Black Bear Trail.
Mitchell Behnke fired 41 for Peshtigo, Marcus Behnke 47, Nick Miles and Jordan VanBeek 48.
Tyler Raatz posted a medalist score of 37 for Gillett, Alex Wetzel 45, Zak Peterson 50 and Kelsey Hischke 54.
Anthony Jazwiecki topped Suring with a 45, Dillon Kempen 47, Tyler Fisher 52 and Ramsay Thompson 59.
Cavaliers Clean
Up On Golf Course
Shooting a 171, the Cavaliers notched a triangular win over Coleman 176 and Crivitz 243 at Parkway Monday.
Casey Boyle and Mike Schmidt topped STAA with 42, Lexi Wilson 43 and Nathan Faucett 44.
Steve Kilmer paced Coleman golfer with 40, Dan Pillath 42, Alex Tisler 45 and Richard Geimer 49.
Sam Banaszak topped Crivitz at 54, Matt Kachell 61, Jacob Dobesh 63 and Ike Banaszak 65.
