Mark Twain once wrote that A lie can travel halfway around the world, while the truth is putting on its shoes. I believe this quote pretty much captures the sentiment surrounding the deception and dishonest intent concerning the recall Porior and Luebke have perpetuated here in the Town of Brazeau.
Now that the truth has finally had a chance to find its way out and most everything that Porior and Luebke have stated thus far has been proven to be completely false, it may be too late to repel what I consider to be one of the most fraudulent and unwarranted recalls from taking place. Especially now that it has recently been revealed that the Town Clerk, Jean Grosse, is also abetting Porior and Luebke with this contemptuous assault against our town.
Luebke and Porior keep harping the same old lie, that in 2011 Supervisors Enix and Hanna approved road construction projects costing the town over $527,000.
The final costs for the 2011 road construction projects approved by Supervisors Enix and Hanna are as follows:
Project Approval Date Final Cost
S. Half Moon Lake
Road HMA Project June 7, 2011 $24,254.98
Pulverizing Project Aug. 5, 2011 $3,401.25
Kinziger Lane HMA
Project Aug. 5, 2011 $60,647.38
Parkway Road EBS
Repair Project Aug. 17, 2011 $12,456.78
Parkway Road HMA
Project Aug. 17, 2011 $102,047.18
Lee Lake Road HMA
Project Sept. 14, 2011 $33,629.36
Old Highway 64 HMA
Project Sept. 14, 2011 $83,282.22
Parkway Road Grave
Lift/HMA Project Sept. 14, 2011 $21,368.84
(Source: 2011 Brazeau Town Records)
The final cost based on actual Town Records is $341,087.99.
Porior and Luebkes perversion of the truth is $527,980.13.
Adolf Hitler once wrote that If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.
Ill leave it up to the good people of the Town of Brazeau to decide for themselves if they think Porior and Luebkes lie is big enough to be believed.
I read with interest the response Mr. Pentico submitted in regards to my plea for help from people of the Town of Stephenson to support the Crivitz airport. Mr. Pentico seems to be a very informed resident of that town, but it would seem he is very angry. I would be, too, if my town board had spent the mentioned $80,000 of taxpayer money to resurface the 18/36 runway and another $12,500 to repair cracks in the taxiway, when the same things could have been done with money generated from aircraft fuel sales. This money is available and if the Town of Stephenson doesnt want it, there is a waiting list of other airports that will gladly use it. Mr. Pentico mentions that that money would have cost them 2.5 percent then and 5 percent in the future, but where I come from we think its a pretty good deal when someone would buy us a dollar candy bar and it would only cost us a nickel. To add insult to injury, FOCA was ready to pay all the matching funds, so it would not have cost the residents of Stephenson one thin dime.
This concludes my getting into your business and I wish you well.

On behalf of Sheltered Reality, local drumming group, we would like to thank Lee Mylener and his store for enabling us to have our fundraiser there this past Saturday. He does so much to help our community and for that we sincerely thank him.
The new large pavilion in Badger Park is nearing completion. Tim and Debbie Rennes financed the project, John Berth managed the construction, and Ryan Builders, Eds Concert, Northern Home Improvement, Road King Excavating, Olson Electrical and their crews did an excellent job.

On May 3, 2012 a release of a videotape showed Gov. Scott Walker speaking of a divide and conquer strategy against unions. Walkers remarks were made to a billionaire campaign supporter who asked him if he could make Wisconsin a right to work state for private-sector unions.
I could go on and on with reasons to vote Walker out, but just thinking about all his lies and corruption makes me sick to my stomach. If you would like to be better informed you can start with http://www.politifact.com/personalities/scott-walker/ It is a great site to compare what politicians say to what is actually true!
Please inform yourself before you vote. If I hear any more people repeating Walker lies from his commercials Im going to puke!

I find it amazing that so many people support Scott Walker and will vote to keep him in office. Either they believe the Republican lies or they just dont care what happens to Wisconsin.
Why would anyone want a state governor who, by his own words, wants to divide and conquer, lied under oath to a congressional committee, eliminated collective bargaining for public employees, and cut public school funding by $1.6 billion. Statewide 4,000 teachers, support staff and administrators were laid off or did not have contracts renewed.
Also, he reduced funding for county and city governments, cutting necessary services, cut back on the Earned Income tax deduction, Homestead Tax Relief and Planned Parenthood,
He repealed the Equal Pay Enforcement Act, denying women recourse for pay discrimination. Walker thinks women are inferior to men and dont deserve equal pay for the same work. Now, if this doesnt make every woman in this state angry, I dont know what will.
He killed over 125 laws, including consumer and environmental-protection laws for the citizens of Wisconsin, giving us no recourse to fight against inequality.
Mr. Walker vowed to create 250,000 jobs but that will not happen with Wisconsin having the most job losses in the past year of any state in the United States. Although just recently Walkers Dept. of Workforce Development made their own calculations which says Wisconsin has created over 20,000 jobs in the past year. Who would you believe, the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics or a department under the direction of Mr. Walker? Time will tell, but final figures wont be verified until after the recall election.
He must be a member of the Robin Hood Reversal Club. Governor Walker is cutting social programs for the poor and middle class and giving huge tax credits to big corporations. His largest campaign donor in Wisconsin ($510,000) is a billionaire whose business is worth at least $2 billion. This business paid no taxes for 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
In case you are wondering how Wisconsin could go from being broke to balancing the budget in such a short time, the Walker administration delayed paying over $500 million in debt payments by selling bonds. The consequence is increased principal and interest payments over the next 20 years. I remember Mr. Walker saying he was not going to kick the can down the road, but thats exactly what he has done.
And let us not forget that Mr. Walker is under a John Doe investigation by the FBI for campaign violations. If he is innocent, why has he created a criminal defense fund?
It is crucial that everyone who signed the Walker Petition (and all others who are fed up with Walkers radical agenda) get out and vote for Tom Barrett on June 5. We must stop this attack on education, unions, and the poor and middle class.
To the Editor:
Congressman Paul Ryan (R) Wisconsin rolled out his new budget plan a few weeks ago. This plan would cut federal dollars for programs like Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment benefits, and food stamps, to name a few. Proudly standing beside him was Congressman Reid Ribble.
The Congressional Budget Office has estimated in this plan, Medicare beneficiaries would bear a much larger share of their health care costs than they would under the current program. These are people who are already at risk, Americans, mostly on fixed incomes, who simply cant afford additional expenses. They are our neighbors, family members, millions of Americans. The Ryan Budget Plan would increase medical expenses for the most needy so we can lower taxes for the most wealthy. This doesnt seem right.
A few days later I received a call from Congressman Ribble himself, a recording, offering to answer questions about Medicare or Social Security. He would like to help us with concerns about our benefits before cutting them? This seems like a cruel joke. Except its not a joke for the neediest of our citizens, those most affected by these cuts.
Congressmans Ribbles phone message was done to make us think that he cares about us and our benefits. His support of the Ryan Budget Plan says he does not.
Give Congressman Ribble a call and ask him about it.
