M-O Netters Post Opening Wins

Regional Semifinals On Thursday

The opening round of the WIAA volleyball tournament went according to script as the M-O Conference registered 5 wins and 4 losses.

Among the victors were league powers Coleman and Peshtigo, which finished one-two in the final standings.

Coleman swept Tri-County while Peshtigo was forced to play five games before turning back upset-minded Crandon.

Results from Division 3 saw number two seed Wausaukee cruise past White Lake while Niagara and Suring came up with tournament wins.

Regional semifinal action will be held on Thursday, October 18 with the finals on Saturday, October 20.

Sectional play is slated for October 25 and 27 with the state tournament November 1-3 at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
