22 at Crivitz Senior Citizens
A total of 22 people signed in for the bi-monthly meeting of the Crivitz Senior Citizens at the Crivitz Village Hall on Tuesday noon, Dec. 17. Nicole Oleszak was a guest for the pot luck.
At 1 p.m. president Frank Jackson called the business meeting to order leading members in reciting the Flag Pledge and the friendly wave greeting to each other.
Betty Rogalski gave the secretary's report and Karen Hudaj the treasurer's report. Both were accepted as given.
Dorothy Bacon of the Sunshine Committee reported a sympathy card was sent to former member Kathryn Fiedorowicz for the loss of her son and also to Alphonse and Rosemary Basak, former members, who also lost their son.
Celebrating December birthdays were Gary Richter and Jerry Salewski and Randy and Betty Engler marked their 73rd wedding anniversary.
Under old business, it was voted to donate $50 to the Crivitz Village Hall for the use of the building and $50 to the Crivitz food pantry.
The people playing 31 will be in charge of the meetings for January thru April 2013. Anyone may bring snacks.
It was voted to have two pot lucks in 2013, one at Easter and one at Christmas.
There was no door prize. A motion was made and seconded to adjourn by MaryAnn Sadorf and Denise Oleszak. Card playing followed. Winners were in sheepshead Betty Rogalski, poker Marie Richter, pinochle Jerry Salewski and 31 Betty Novak. The next meeting is January 8th at noon. Area seniors are invited to attend.
