3rd Baby Jesus Reported Stolen
Another baby Jesus was reported stolen, but the two 18 year olds from Stephenson, Mich., were caught and lodged in the Menominee County Jail, according to the Menominee County Sheriff Department.
According to the report, at 12:06 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, a sheriff deputy observed two males steal a baby Jesus from a manger in the yard of a private residence on County Road 352 in Lake Township. The pair were arrested for larceny.
Last week, the baby Jesus was stolen from the display at the triangle park in the City of Peshtigo. The nativity scene had been erected by the Peshtigo Chamber of Commerce. A ransom note was left at the scene.
The previous week, the baby Jesus was stolen from a nativity scene at the Marina in Menominee, Mich. A ransom was also left at the scene.
