Child Development Days at Crivitz Elementary
The School District of Crivitz will sponsor Child Development Days on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at the Elementary School. This is an opportunity for preschool children to participate in a developmental screening to assess their developmental progress, to provide parental awareness of intervention services available in the district, to identify children requiring special services, and to provide resources/materials for parents to use at home with their child.
Children who are invited to participate must be three years old by Sept. 1, 2013, and be in the School District of Crivitz. Those who have not been previously screened in the district and plan to attend the Developmental Kindergarten or 5K programs in the fall of 2013 need to be screened. This is the only screening a child will have before entering into Developmental Kindergarten or 5K.
The child will be encouraged to participate in the screening where social, communication, motor, and early learning skills will be observed and/or screened. Vision and hearing will also be tested. There will also be many community resources available for parents to gain valuable information. Prizes will be provided and drawings will be held for other items.
Anyone who has not received a letter about the Child Development Days at Crivitz Elementary School, call 715-854-2721 ext. 431 to set up an appointment.
