Coleman Child Development Days, Junior Registration
The School District of Coleman will hold a pre-kindergarten screening on Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th from 8 am to 3 pm at the Coleman Elementary School. All children who live in the Coleman School District and who will be 3 years old by Sept. 1, 2013, are invited to attend Coleman's Child Development Days. Educational and health care personnel will be available to assess developmental skills as well as check hearing, vision, and immunization records.
Attending Coleman's Child Development Days is an opportunity for children and parents to meet the pre-kindergarten staff and discuss schooling options as well as any concerns parents may have on child development. There will be beneficial information available on a wide variety of relevant topics including materials and activities parents may use at home with their children.
For appointments call Julie Pusick, early childhood teacher at Coleman Elementary School at 920-897-2525. The screening process will take approximately one hour to complete and is designed to be an enjoyable and fun experience for children. The school asks that each participant bring the child's updated immunization record to screening. If registering for junior kindergarten, bring child's original birth certificate in addition to the immunization record.
Coleman's Junior Kindergarten Registration Days are also March 7-8. To registera child for junior kindergarten go to the elementary office on either date. No appointment is necessary and bring child's original birth certificate and current immunization record.
