Coleman Child Development Days, Junior K Registration
The School District of Coleman pre-kindergarten screening is Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th from 8 am to 3 pm at the Coleman Elementary School. All children who live in the Coleman School District and who will be 3 years old by Sept. 1, 2013, are invited to attend. Educational and health care personnel will assess developmental skills as well as check hearing, vision, and immunization records.
The Coleman's Child Development Days for children and parents will meet the pre-kindergarten staff and discuss schooling options as well as any concerns parents have on a child's development. There will be beneficial information available on a variety of topics including materials and activities parents may use at home with their children.
For appointments call Julie Pusick, early childhood teacher at Coleman Elementary School at 920-897-2525. The screening process will take approximately one hour to complete and is designed to be an enjoyable and fun experience for children. The school asks that each participant bring the child's updated immunization record. If registering for junior kindergarten, bring child's original birth certificate in addition to the immunization record.
Coleman's Junior Kindergarten Registration Days are also March 7-8. To registera child for junior kindergarten go to the elementary office on either date. No appointment is necessary and bring child's original birth certificate and current immunization record.
