THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Fredrick E. Fred Eggert, 103, of the Town of Stephenson, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18.
Born in Milwaukee on March 6, 1909, son of Robert and Minnie (Behling) Eggert, he was a Mason for over 60 years and an avid fisherman. A member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Athelstane for many years, he sang in the church choir and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by a son, Dale (Kathleen) Eggert of Shorewood.
His wife, the former Dorothy Krueger, preceded him in death along with two brothers, George and Robert and a sister, Lucille.
Masonic rites will be said at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 at Messar-Roubal Funeral Home prior to the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will start immediately following the Mason service and will continue until the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Dennis Schmidt will officiate. Messar-Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
