William C. Bill Holmes, died of a heart attack while walking his dogs out to get the mail Monday morning, Feb. 18.
He had six children in seven years, drove race car #98 where he earned the nickname Wild Bill, operated every large machine you can imagine, always had a boat ranging from Army T boat to a speed boat and loved country music and a good joke.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; a sister, Nancy Kartheiser; his children, Vicki, (Billy), Holly, Michael, Steven and Dale; stepchildren, Robert, (Lore), David, Michael and Scott LeSage; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Kell Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 22 after 4 p.m. with a time of sharing at 7 p.m. Afterwards all his friends are invited to join in celebrating his life at his favorite watering hole, the Outback in Marinette. Burial will be in Amberg Cemetery on Monday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. In lieu of other forms of sympathy a memorial fund has been established in his name.
